History of the World, Part I is a 1981 American comedy movie written and directed by Mel Brooks. It was distributed by 20th Century Fox.
Mel Brooks also plays 5 roles: Moses, Comicus the stand-up philosopher, Tomás de Torquemada, King Louis XVI, and Jacques. The large group of actors includes: Madeline Kahn, Dom DeLuise, Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, Gregory Haines, Sid Caesar, Orson Welles, Spike Milligan.
The movie was nominated for Worst Picture at the 1981 Stinkers Bad Movie Awards.[1] Roger Ebert gave the movie two stars out of four.[2]
