Jiang Yi-huah
Jiang Yi-huah (Chinese: 江宜樺; pinyin: Jiāng Yīhuà; born 18 November 1960) is a Republic of China politician. He was the Premier of the Republic of China from 2013 to 2014.[2]

Before he was Premier, Jiang was the Vice Premier of the Republic of China from 2012 to 2013.[2] He was the Minister of the Interior from 2009 to 2012. He was the Minister of Research, Development and Evaluation Commission from 2008 to 2009.[2]
Early life
changeJiang was born 18 November 1960 in Keelung.[3]
He earned his bachelor's and master's degree in political science from National Taiwan University (NTU). He earned a doctoral degree in political science from Yale University.[3] Upon graduation, he returned to Taiwan to become a professor at NTU.[3]
Government service
changeIn 2008 he was appointed as the Minister of Research, Development and Evaluation Commission of the Executive Yuan. On 10 September 2009, Jiang was appointed as ROC Minister of the Interior (MOI). He was the youngest person to ever hold the office. Jiang was appointed Vice Premier on 6 February 2012.[3] With this, he had to resign from his professorship at NTU. He became the Premier of the Republic of China on 18 February 2013. In five years he rose from a minister to premiere setting a record for advancement in the Taiwanese government.[3] He is also the youngest premier in the last 50 years.[3]
