John Carroll (politician)
American politician (1929–2021)
John Stanley Carroll (December 18, 1929 – September 19, 2021) was an American politician. He was a state representative and state senator from Hawaii as a Republican. He was born in St. Marys, Kansas.[1]
In 1966 Carroll ran for one of Hawaii's two at-large congressional district seats, but came in third place behind incumbents Patsy Mink and Spark Matsunaga.[2]
On June 14, 2019 he announced that he would run for mayor of Honolulu.[3] He came in 8th place in November 2020.
Carroll died on September 19, 2021 in Oahu, Hawaii at the age of 91.[4]
