John Kitzhaber

35th and 37th governor of Oregon

John Albert Kitzhaber (born March 5, 1947) is an American politician. In 2011, he became the Governor of Oregon. He was also Governor of Oregon from 1995 to 2003.

On February 13, 2015, Kitzhaber resigned as governor due to some serious allegations against him. His resignation became effect on February 18 when Kate Brown succeeded him.

On May 2, 2016, Kitzhaber announced his endorsement for Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in his 2016 nomination for the Democratic nomination.[2]
