John Paul Jr. (racing driver)

American racecar driver born in 1960

John Lee Paul Jr. (February 19, 1960 – December 29, 2020) was an American racing driver. He competed in CART and the Indy Racing League competitions. He was born in Muncie, Indiana. Paul won the 24 Hours of Daytona twice.

He also was known for drug smuggling.[1] In May 1986, Paul Jr. received a five-year sentence for racketeering, with the drug charges dropped.[2]

Paul Jr. died on December 29, 2020 in Los Angeles from problems caused by Huntington's disease, aged 60.[3][4]
