Jon Hassell

American trumpeter and composer

Jon Hassell (March 22, 1937[1] – June 26, 2021) was an American trumpet player and composer. He was best known for creatting the idea of "Fourth World" music. It combines world ethnic traditions with modern electronic techniques.

Hassell died from natural causes on June 26, 2021 at the age of 84.[2][3]
