José Rizal Coliseum
José Rizal Coliseum also referred to as the Calamba Coliseum is a 10,000-capacity indoor arena . It is used as a sports venue and convention center in Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines and the south of Metro Manila. The arena is named after the Philippine national hero, Jose Rizal who was born in Calamba, Laguna on June 19, 1861. [1]

History
changeConstruction of the coliseum began in April of 2017. [2]
The arena is near the Calamba City Hall. It faces the Rizal Monument. The design of the building was based on a jar claypot, a symbol of the city. [3]
