K. P. Thakkar
Indian athlete, swimmer
Khatau Thakkar was an Indian swimmer. He won a gold medal in 1951 Asian Games in men's 3m springboard and 10m platform. He also won a bronze medal in 1954 Asian Games. He had won three Asian Games medals.[1] The Government of India honored him with the Dhyan Chand Award in 2014.[2] He died in 2016.[3]

K. P. Thakkar Khatau P. Thakkar belonged to an affluent family , but he stayed unspoiled , humble and modest despite gaining many milestones in diving in Mumbai in 1948 , 1949 and 1950 . Thakkar was a grand all - round diver .
