Kasur Tehsil

Kasur Tehsil (Urdu: تحصِيل قصُور) city and urban tehsil (subdivison) is the city of the famous Punjabi Sufi poet Bulleh Shah and the capital of Kasur District. It is 55 kilometres (34 miles) southeast of Lahore. It is one of the oldest cities in Pakistan. According to legend, it was founded thousands of years ago by Kash, or Kashava, brother of Lav, who were the sons of the deity Sri Rama Chandra, the hero of the epic Ramayana.
