Kay Bailey Hutchison
American politician (born 1943)
Kay Bailey Hutchison (born July 22, 1943[1]) is an American politician. Hutchison was the 22nd United States Permanent Representative to NATO from August 28, 2017 to January 20, 2021. She was the senior Senator from Texas. Hutchison is a member of the U.S. Republican Party. In 2001, she was named one of the thirty most powerful women in America by the Ladies Home Journal.

On June 29, 2017, Hutchison was nominated to be the next United States Permanent Representative to NATO by Donald Trump.[2] She was confirmed by the Senate in a voice vote on August 3, 2017.[3]
