Kevin Dineen

Canadian ice hockey player and coach

Kevin William Dineen (born October 28, 1963 in Quebec City, Quebec) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey right winger. He lived in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and moved Florida in 2010. He played a career total of played 21 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Hartford Whalers, Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, and Columbus Blue Jackets. He is currently the assistant coach of the Chicago Blackhawks.[1] He was the head coach of the Florida Panthers from 20112013.[2][3]

Dineen also scored the last goal ever for the Hartford Whalers in a 2–1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.[4]

On January 6, 2006, he had his playing number 11 retired by the American Hockey League's Hartford Wolf Pack.
