Konrad Laimer

Austrian association football player

Konrad Laimer (born 27 May 1997) is an Austrian footballer. He plays as a midfielder for German club Bayern Munich and the Austria national team.[2]

Club career change

Laimer started his career with USC Abersee. 2007 he went to the youth of FC Red Bull Salzburg. After that he went to the Red Bull Salzburg Academy. 2014 he went to FC Liefering. He made his Erste Liga debut with FC Liefering at 2 May 2014 against SV Horn.[3] He made his first team debut at 28 September 2014 against SK Rapid Wien. He came in forAlan in extra time.[4] He scored his first goal in the cup semifinal versus FK Austria Wien on 20 April 2016.

On 30 June 2017 he went to RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga.[5]

On 9 June 2023, Bayern Munich announced that they had signed Laimer on a free transfer until 30 June 2027.

International career change

He played in all youth national teams from U16 to U21. With the U19 team he played in the U-19 European championship 2014 a nd the U-20 World championship 2015.

Laimer was first called in the Austria in September 2017.[6] He made his debut on 7 June 2019 in a qualifing match for the Euro 2020 against Slovenia in the starting XI.[7]
