Krishna

major deity in Hinduism, worshipped as the eighth avatar of Vishnu and also as the Supreme god in his own right

Krishna is an important God (Para Brahman) in Hinduism. He is considered to have been an avatar of the god Vishnu. Krishna is believed to have been a real thing who took part in the war known as the Mahabharata. He is a central character in the important Hindu scripture the Bhagavad Gita. Krishna belongs to a nomadic tribe of Ahirs/Abhiras known as Sāttvatas who inhabited the country near Mathura. These Sāttvatas or more properly the Yadavas of whom they were a branch were mentioned by Panini.[1] Hindu often consider him a warrior, hero, teacher and philosopher and a great leader. He defeated King Kans, who was a crime and demon who put his sister, Devaki, and Vasudev to jail.
