Kuhlekwethu Charles Maseko is a South African politician and entrepreneur. He is noted for his roles within ActionSA, where he has held various leadership positions, including as Interim National Treasurer and Provincial Campaigns Manager. Political Career
changeMaseko began his political journey with ActionSA, where he served as the Constituency Chairperson for the Tshwane region. In this capacity, he facilitated party activities and led membership expansion efforts.[1]
Maseko also served as the shadow MMC for Infrastructure and was a candidate for the National Assembly (Parliament). His influence extended across KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and Gauteng provinces, where he played a critical role in campaign management and policy development.
In addition, Maseko represented ActionSA on the Finance Subcommittee of the Student Representative Council (SRC) and contributed significantly to youth leadership initiatives.
In August 2024, Maseko resigned from ActionSA, citing internal conflicts and ethical concerns about the party's Youth Forum leadership. His resignation was closely followed by the departure of 22 PEC members from the North West province, who echoed similar sentiments.[2][3]

changeMaseko has lived in the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, and Mpumalanga. He is active on social media under the handle @Kuhlethebossman, where he has 17,000 followers.[4]
Maseko is related to Zimbabwean business tycoon James Makamba, a connection that has sparked speculation and controversy about his financial and political affiliations. Some critics have alleged that he is an "agent of the DA" and linked him to white monopoly capital, accusations he has denied, stating they are politically motivated.[5]
Maseko has also faced scrutiny regarding his financial standing, with some questioning how he accumulated his wealth at a young age. While his critics raise concerns, Maseko attributes his success to entrepreneurship and strategic investments, declining to elaborate further.[6]
Despite these controversies, Maseko remains a prominent figure in South African politics, leveraging his diverse heritage—part South African, part Scottish, and part Malawian—to advocate for inclusivity and community-driven solutions.
