Leopard 2
The Leopard 2 is a German battle tank, or tank or main battle tank. It is a kind of third generation battle tank. It was developed by Kraussmaffei in the 1970s. The tank came into the military of West Germany in 1979 and replaced the Leopard 1 as the main battle tank of the west German army.
The tanks produced up to the leopard 2A4 model, have a vertically faced turret armor.
The Leopard 1 is an earlier German main battle tank.

Some of the countries that have Leopard 2, have a license to build their own Leopard 2 tanks. The Turkish army used Leopard 2 in Syria in 2023-24. The Ukrainian army used them in the Russian invasion.
