Liang Guanglie
Chinese general and politician (1940–2024)
Liang Guanglie (Chinese: 梁光烈; pinyin: Liáng Guāngliè, also spelled as Liang Kuang-lieh; December 1940 – 12 November 2024) was a Chinese general. He was the Minister of National Defense from 2008 to 2013. He was also the State Councilor of the People’s Republic of China during this time. Liang was born in Santai, Sichuan, China. He was a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
Liang died in Beijing, China on 12 November 2024, at the age of 83.[1]
