Liberty City Seven

The Liberty City Seven were seven members of a small Miami, Florida-based religious group who called themselves the Universal Divine Saviors.^[1] They have been called a "bizarre cult". The seven were arrested and charged with terrorism-related offenses in 2006 after a Federal Bureau of Investigation sting investigation.^[2] They called themselves as representatives of Al-Qaeda and planned to destroy the Sears Tower in Chicago.^[2] The members of the group were located in the Miami neighborhood of Liberty City.
