The album first appeared on the Billboard 200 at #149. It reached at #22 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.[1] Since August 2000, It has sold over 200,000 copies since August 2000[2]
The album was well received. The Source gave the album 4 out of 5 mics and said "[Big L] comes with ill animated lyrics, combined with metaphors that stun; a combo sure to have suckas on the run".[3]
