It is the first MCU project to be about the Multiverse, which also had a big role in the TV series What If...? (2021–) and the movies Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), and the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). Tom Hiddleston stars as Loki, returning from the MCU movies. Kang the Conqueror, the main villain of the Multiverse Saga, makes his first appearance in the season, played by Jonathan Majors.
