Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a 2023 American superhero movie. The movie features the characters Scott Lang / Ant-Man and Hope Pym / Wasp. The movie is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Quantumania is the sequel to Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). It is also the 31st movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The movie was directed by Peyton Reed. The screenplay for the movie was written by Jeff Loveness. The movie stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne. The cast also includes Jonathan Majors, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Kathryn Newton, David Dastmalchian, William Jackson Harper, Katy O'Brian, and Bill Murray.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was released in the United States on February 17, 2023. It is the first movie of Phase Five of the MCU.

change- Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man: An Avenger and former criminal with a suit that allows him to change his size while increasing in strength.[5]
- Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne / Wasp: The daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. She got a similar suit and the name "Wasp" from her mother.[6] She serves as the head of the Pym van Dyne Foundation, which uses the Pym Particles for humanitarian efforts.[7]: 4
- Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror: A "time-traveling, multiversal adversary". He is a version of Loki (2021) character He Who Remains who created the Time Variance Authority (TVA).[8]
- Majors also portrays several Kang variants including Immortus, Rama-Tut, Scarlet Centurion, and Victor Timely.
- Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang: Scott Lang's 18-year-old daughter who gets a suit similar to his father's. She is scientifically inclined and becomes interested in Pym's old notes and learning more about science and technology from the Quantum Realm. Newton replaces Emma Fuhrmann, who played the character in Avengers: Endgame (2019).[9]
- David Dastmalchian as Veb: A slime-like creature that lives in the Quantum Realm. Dastmalchian previously portrayed Kurt in the first two Ant-Man movies.[10]
- Katy O'Brian as Jentorra: A freedom fighter trying to right the injustices facing the communities in the Quantum Realm.[11]
- Bill Murray as Lord Krylar: The governor of the lavish Axia community in the Quantum Realm. He has a history with Janet van Dyne in the Quantum Realm.[12][13]
- William Jackson Harper as Quaz: A telepath who lives in the Quantum Realm.[11]
- Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne: The wife of Hank Pym and mother of Hope van Dyne and the original Wasp. She was lost in the Quantum Realm for 30 years.[14]
- Corey Stoll as M.O.D.O.K.: A mutated, cybernetically enhanced individual with an oversized head. Stoll previously portrayed Darren Cross / Yellowjacket in Ant-Man.
- Michael Douglas as Hank Pym: A former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, entomologist, and physicist. He was the original Ant-Man after creating the suit.[6]
Randall Park reprises his role as FBI agent Jimmy Woo,[15] while Gregg Turkington reprises his role as Baskin-Robbins store manager Dale from Ant-Man (2015).[16] Ruben Rabasa appears as a coffee shop attendant.[12] A man asking Lang for a picture with his dog is played by Mark Oliver Everett, frontman of the rock band Eels, whose father was quantum physicist Hugh Everett III and the originator of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum theory.[17] Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson make uncredited cameo appearances as Loki and Mobius M. Mobius, respectively, in the movie's post-credits scene.[18]
Plans
changePlans for a third Ant-Man movie were confirmed in November 2019. At that time, Reed and Rudd were said to be returning. Loveness was hired to write the screenplay for the movie by April 2020. Development of the movie began during the COVID-19 pandemic. The title and new cast members of the movie were announced in December 2020. Filming in Turkey began in early February 2021. Additional filming was done in San Francisco in mid-June, Principal photography started at the end of July at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. It ended in November.

changeAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premiered at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Los Angeles on February 6, 2023.[19] It was released in the United States and China on February 17, 2023.[20][21] The movie was previously set to be released in 2022, before being officially announced as releasing on February 17, 2023, in May 2021.[22] It was delayed to July 28, 2023, in October 2021, and returned to the February 2023 date in April 2022.[20] It is the first movie of Phase Five of the MCU.
