Matthew Richard Lucas (born 5 March 1974) is a British actor, comedian and writer. He is best known for Little Britain, a comedy sketch programme he and David Walliams wrote and performed.

Life
changeLucas was born and raised in London. He is from a Jewish family and is openly gay.[1] He has alopecia.
On 16 June 2022, he appeared on the BBC television programme Who Do You Think You Are? and discovered that many of his grandmother's cousins had been killed in the Holocaust. In Amsterdam in 1942, his grandmother's cousin Werner Goldschmidt rented a room from Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank. He was living with them just before the family went into hiding.[2][3]
