Mercy Otis Warren

Mercy Otis Warren (September 14, [September 25, New Style] 1728 – October 19, 1814) was a poet and playwright. She wrote political plays about the problematic situations that led to the American Revolution. The Adulator and The Group were published on the eve of the Revolution. Her later works included Poems, Dramatic and Miscellaneous and History of the American Revolution.[1]
