Career
changeMushekwi was born in Harare. He played for CAPS United in Zimbabwe. In the 2009 season, he scored 21 league goals. This made him the top scorer for his team.
In 2010, he played for South African club Mamelodi Sundowns. He was very successful in this club. He became the second best goalscorer of the 2010–11 Premier Soccer League season.[1][2]
In the 2013–14 season, Mushekwi played for the Belgian club K.V. Oostende. However, in February 2014, he got an injury. He did not recover from this injury until November. He could not return to his South Africa club after that.[3] In 2015, Mushekwi played with Hobro IK in Denmark. However, he was signed with the Swedish club Djurgårdens IF. This allowed him to play for 6 months in Sweden.[4][5]
China
changeOn 22 December 2015, Mushekwi moved to China to play for the China League One club Dalian Yifang.[6] He scored the most goals in the team for 3 seasons in a row. However, he soon got more injuries.
In the 2017 season, he was tackled very hard in his right leg. However, he still played for the rest of the game. Later during the game, he scored an important goal.[7] He eventually helped Yifang win the League One title. In 2018, Nicolás Gaitán and Yannick Carrasco threatened to take his position. However, Mushekwi scored more goals, and kept his spot on his team.[8] In the 2018 season, he had injuries in his pelvis.[9][10] In one game, Mushekwi was hit in the head with a goalkeeper on the other team. Even after this, Mushekwi tried to stay in the game.[11] He was known for his strong spirit. He is thought to be one of the most important players in his team.[12]
In 2019, he had a surgery. He did not have a very good performance that season. On 15 July 2019, Mushekwi joined the China League One club Zhejiang Greentown.[13] He became very important in that team. He was promoted to be a top player before he left the team in 2021.[14]
On 1 March 2024, Mushekwi joined the China League One club Yunnan Yukun.[15]
