Ostallgäu

Ostallgäu (Bavarian: Ostallgai) is a rural district in Swabia in southwest Bavaria, Germany. Neighbor districts are: Oberallgäu, Unterallgäu, Augsburg (district), Landsberg (district), Weilheim-Schongau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen (district); The district-free city of Kaufbeuren, in the middle of the district, is not part of the it. In the south of the district is the Austrian state of Tyrol. Marktoberdorf is the capital of the Ostallgäu.
