Planes: Fire & Rescue (also known as Planes 2: Fire & Rescue or simply Planes 2) is an American movie that was released on July 18, 2014. It is a sequel to the 2013 movie Planes, a spin-off of Pixar's Cars franchise. The movie was produced by DisneyToon Studios. This movie stars Dane Cook, Julie Bowen, Ed Harris, Wes Studi, Jerry Stiller, Anne Meara, Fred Willard, Brad Garrett, Dale Dye, Barry Corbin, and Hal Holbrook.

In 2017, a third Planes film is in development. It was scheduled to be titled as Beyond the Sky. It was initially scheduled to be released on April 12, 2019, but was removed from the release schedule on March 1, 2018. It was cancelled due to the closure of DisneyToon Studios on 28 June 2018. The development for the film was ended.

The film was planned to explore the future of aviation in outer space, but the rest of the plot was unknown.
