Anne Meara
American comedian and actress (1929–2015)
Anne Meara (born September 20, 1929 – May 23, 2015[1]) was an American comedian and actress. She and Jerry Stiller were a 1960s comedy team, appearing as Stiller and Meara, and are the parents of actor/comedian Ben Stiller and actress Amy Stiller.

Early life
changeMeara was born in Brooklyn, New York. She is the daughter of Irish immigrant parents, Mary (née Dempsey) and Edward Joseph Meara, a lawyer.[2][3][4] Meara was raised in Roman Catholicism, and converted to Reform Judaism six years after marrying Stiller.[5][6]
Death
changeMeara died on May 23, 2015 at the age of 85 of multiple strokes.[7]
