Ramón Castro Ruz
revolutionary from Cuba (1924-2016)
Ramón Eusebio Castro Ruz (October 14, 1924 – February 23, 2016) was a Cuban politician. He was the older brother of Fidel and Raúl Castro. He was a key figure of the Cuban Revolution. Castro was born in Birán, Oriente Province. After the revolution, Castro left his family farm as it became legal property of the state. He continued to dedicate himself to the study of agriculture.
Castro died on February 23, 2016 in Havana. He was aged 91.[1]
