He is a political consultant and strategist known for his involvement in various high-profile political campaigns and controversies.[4]

McShane gained attention for his role in political consulting, particularly in relation to the 2020 U.S. presidential election.[5] He was a key figure in efforts to challenge the election results, with McShane LLC being implicated in these activities.[6]

His actions came under scrutiny when it was revealed that his firm had connections with far-right figures and groups involved in election protests.[7]Among his various engagements, McShane has been linked to groups and individuals with controversial affiliations, including the Proud Boys.[8]

Additionally, Jessica Haire, a former candidate from Maryland, became entangled in the controversy surrounding McShane. Haire, who has been involved in various political and activist roles, was connected to the broader network of individuals and organizations engaged in the election-related disputes.[9] Her involvement with McShane LLC and associated PACs contributed to the scrutiny of the firm's activities and its connections to far-right groups.[10]

McShane has also been associated with various political action committees (PACs). The "Take Back the West" PAC,[11] for example, was established by McShane, these PACs were part of broader efforts to contest the 2020 election results and influence political outcomes.[12]
