Sokol (Russian: Со́кол) is a town in the center of Vologda Oblast, Russia, located on both banks of the Sukhona River. Population: 38,452 (2010 Census);[1] 43,042 (2002 Census);[4] 46,604 (1989 Census).[5]; 36,000 (1970).
