Sridevi Kapoor (born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan; 13 August 1963 – 24 February 2018) was an Indian movie actress and movie producer. She was born in Sivakasi, Madras State, India.[1] She was known for her role in the 2012 movie English Vinglish.[2] In 2013, the Government of India awarded her the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor

Sridevi died of cardiac arrest in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 24 February 2018 at the age of 54.[3] Although it was earlier announced that the cause of death was a cardiac arrest, the forensic report released by Dubai Police said that Sridevi died of accidental drowning.[4]
