Stephen Milburn Anderson
American film director and screenwriter (1947-2015)
Stephen Milburn Anderson (March 13, 1948 – May 1, 2015) was an American movie director, producer and screenwriter. He wrote and directed eight movies. He was best known for South Central, which was produced by Oliver Stone and released by Warner Bros. in 1992. He also wrote and directed Cash (2010), starring Sean Bean and Chris Hemsworth. He produced the Academy Award-winning short movie Ray's Male Heterosexual Dance Hall (1987). He was born in New Mexico.
Anderson died from throat cancer on May 1, 2015 in Denver, Colorado, aged 67. His wife of more than thirty years, Mary Weir, outlived him.[1]
