Takeo Hoshi

Japanese economist

Takeo Hoshi (Japanese 星 岳雄, Hoshi Takeo) is an economist. He is Henri and Tomoye Takahashi Senior Fellow at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University. He also works at several other institutions. He is an expert on how to control banks and on the Japanese banking and financial systems. He won the Nakahara Prize in 2005[1] from the Japanese Economic Association. He has worked with several research organizations and is one of the founders of the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research.
