Proposal for a change of the article name

change

We had better change the name of the article. The present name is irregular. It is required to adopt a normal or official name for it. For example:

  • Fukui-shi
  • Fukui city

@Green: How about Fukui (city), per the English Wikipedia? IWI (chat) 08:00, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Comment: Thank you. "Fukui (city)" is much better than "Fukui, Fukui".
I found there are many other articles which was made in the same way by the same user. We can find out at https://xtools.wmflabs.org/pages/simple.wikipedia.org/Horeki

Some examples:

  • Hirosaki, Aomori
  • Katagami, Akita
  • Daisen, Akita
  • Shimizu, Shizuoka

Additional comment:
At this moment, we should not change city names. There are same names in the world as long as we see the pages like en:Columbus and Columbus. We need a discussion if we change other names in this whole Wikipedia. As for Fukui city, there will be no problem because it is the only city in the world. --Green (talk) 12:17, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
