The centre of the universe? change
The Sun is the centre of the Solar System, and not of the universe. 24.255.25.146 (talk) 08:51, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- This is true, and we know that now, but both Copernicus and Galileo believed that it was the centre of the universe. It wasn't until Newton came along that the discovery of the sun being only the centre of our Solar System came to light. Lauryn☆ 20:20, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
Lantern experiment change
The sources I have found seem to indicate that the lantern experiment did not conclusively discover the speed of light. See, for instance, this excerpt from a book I found online.
