Still complex

change

@Cyber.Eyes.2005 I noticed few words like appendages, muzzles, deceased, repulsed, etc. in this article. Please change them into simple English words. And also please make sure to change the complex sentences into simple sentences as much as possible. If you think your article is still in the process of development, then I suggest you to submit it only when you complete its simplification, because juries can reject or approve once submitted articles at any time during the event. I saw similar complex words and complex sentences in other articles you have submitted. I will not leave threads in each article. Feel free to ask me any doubt in case you have! :-) --Haoreima (talk) 22:20, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I thought submitted articles would be reviewed at the end. Thanks for informing. Also, I have a question: will the submitted articles be graded? In other words, is there a grading system, or will the articles be accepted or rejected even if they fail to meet one criterion (like not being simple enough)? – Cyber.Eyes2005Talk 22:29, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Haoreima, I've simplified the page, and it now scores 68.1 with a grade of 5.1 on the Flesch-Kincaid readability test. It's now easier to read for 11-12-year-olds. – Cyber.Eyes2005Talk 23:08, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I generally do not rely on the machine for the readability. Only sometimes I do. Because the calculation differs from one machine to another. Well, each accepted article will carry one mark. If two people achieve similar marks, the person who has added more number of words (overall articles) will be the top place holder in most cases. But if the authority from the FNF organising committee wants, then those individuals having same marks can be accepted as the top place holders equally. Every submitted articles must fulfill the rules of the local wikipedia as well as the rules of the event. In simple English wikipedia, all the articles must be in simple English words as well as in simple sentences. If the jury wants, the article may be declined even for one criteria non-fulfillment. I see most of your articles are well cited with references. But still reminding you to be aware of the fact that articles can be declined even for not citing a paragraph or independent sentence(s). It is better to remove the uncited passage rather than keeping it as it is. :-) Haoreima (talk) 23:19, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ah, that seems good to me. My only concern is simplification. Other than that, I believe my articles are okay and fill all requirments. I'll try my best, and thanks for the detailed response. :) – Cyber.Eyes2005Talk 23:26, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
