This article (or one that was redirected to it) was nominated for deletion on 22 April 2006. The result of the discussion was redirect (to Muslim dress). At the time of the discussion, the article was called Muslim women. |
DO we really need this in that form? - If os would it ont make sense to have an arzicle on the social and cultural differences between islamic and non-islamic states? - Eptalon 16:57, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Work needed...
changeI am aware that this is probably one of the older artricles of SEWP. I do however think that it needs work:
- Since we currenlty only have one article, I would expect it to give equal weight to dresses for men, and dresses for women. At the moment, it is focused on dresses for women.
- Islam started a long time ago. I am sure there are sources for the different ways Muslims should dress.
- Even though Islamis global, I'd expect some variation of the the rules. Either geographically, or by "school of thought"
- I would expect an image for more or less any form of dress mentioned.
Islam is the second or third most-widespread religion today, if there is a dress code, then we should get a better article about it. That may just be my opinion though. Eptalon (talk) 10:30, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
