Talk:Ten Little Indians

Complex stuff change

Individual words/phrases: counting-out, elaborated, minstrel show, adapted, reflection (in this figurative meaning), shorts (in the meaning intended here), met their end

Sentence that should be restructured: Songwriter Septimus Winner created an elaborated version of the children's song, called "Ten Little Injuns", in 1868 for a minstrel show.

Other items:

  • "It is generally thought" in the enwiki version was changed to "It is often thought". Those don't mean the same thing.
  • There are words that should be linked. Go through the text, look for any significant words that aren't linked, and see if you can find articles here to link them to. (Try to avoid linking to Wiktionary.)

I linked shorts, adapted and minstrel show. How do I link met their end & reflection on Simple? Angela Kate Maureen 05:44, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
You wouldn't link them. You would use different words. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:31, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Met their end was changed to were killed. I also changed reflection to effect Angela Kate Maureen 22:18, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Those didn't work, so I reverted them. Have you seen 10 Little Mickey Kids yourself, by any chance? Just because the mice died, that doesn't mean they were killed. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:32, 4 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
