Embedding

change
"Infobox song contest entry/doc"
Song

By adding |embed=yes to the first line of code, one can embed this infobox into another, creating one continuous infobox. Other infoboxes will need to have a special parameter that allows embedding. For example, if the song's page already includes the {{Infobox Single}} template, which most should, then the {{Infobox ESC entry}} template should be added to the "Misc" field in the Infobox Single template.

{{Infobox Single <!-- See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Songs -->

}}
  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 For short horizontal lists of two or three items, comma separators are acceptable, but for longer lists the use of {{flatlist}} or {{hlist}} is preferred as they offer a benefit to users of screen readers. Vertical lists should always be implemented by {{plainlist}} or {{ubl}} and never by <br /> tags for reasons of accessibility.

Details

change
  • To learn what to input into each blank, see above and {{Infobox Single}}.
  • When using this double template embedding, do NOT use the image and caption fields for an image of the performance or the regular album cover. The album cover can already be seen in the {{Infobox Single}} while an image of the performance would be appropriate for the artist's page or in the main body of the text. A promotional cover is acceptable as an image in the ESC infobox.
  • This double template embedding should be used more often than just {{Infobox Eurovision Song Contest entry}} since most Eurovision songs are released as CD Singles.
