Template talk:Enwp based
Hey, weren't we using: "This article or parts of it were created based, in whole or in part, on this version of the English Wikipedia article. The complete history of the article can be found there."? Minor Contributer (talk) 10:04, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Proposal
changeCan an admin add [[Category:Articles using content from a different language Wikipedia]] to the template? PiRSquared17 14:49, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Request to edit protected template
changeWould an admin please add the following to the bottom of this template:
<noinclude> [[Category:Attribution templates]] [[Category:Templates with categories]] </noinclude>
While you're at it, you might want to take care of PiRSquared17's request above. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:20, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- That's already been added, but needs to be replaced. Please replace
Category:Articles using content from a different language Wikipedia
withCategory:Articles using content from the English Wikipedia
. The former category is for unspecified translations. Osiris (talk) 16:30, 2 January 2012 (UTC)- Thanks Djsasso! Osiris (talk) 04:36, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
tmbox
changeI wonder why don't use {{tmbox}} for this template, as it fits very good to {{talkpage}}?
Example:
This article or parts of it were created based, in whole or in part, on [{{{1}}} this version] of the English Wikipedia article. The complete history of the article can be found there. |

- This template is actually fully compatible with
{{based on}}
- it can be redirected with no problems. The reason I didn't redirect this before is I assumed some people preferred the comment-style attribution...? Anubis [Osiris] 03:46, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
