Tenshō (Heian period)

Tenshō (天承) was a Japanese era name (年号,, nengō,, lit. "year name") after Daiji and before Chōshō. This period started in January 1131 and ended in August 1132.^[1] The reigning emperor was Sutoku-tennō (崇徳天皇).^[2]

Events of the Tenshō Era

1131 (Tenshō 1, 12th month): Fujiwara Yetada was promoted to the office of Minister of the Left (sadaijin); and Fujiwara no Munetada was given the office of Minister of the Center (nadaijin).^[3]
