Tropical Storm Aletta (2006)
Pacific tropical storm in 2006
Tropical Storm Aletta was the first tropical cyclone in the 2006 Pacific hurricane season. Aletta began from a weather system that was located to the south-southwest of the Mexican port of Acapulco, Guerrero. It slowly got stronger, and it was named as a tropical depression early on May 27. Aletta became a tropical storm later that morning. The storm moved very slowly, but it later turned to the west and weakened on May 29. Aletta kept weakening weakening until it died out on May 31. The storm dropped rain along the coast of Mexico. It also caused winds that knocked down trees and caused minor damage.
