changeWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make helpful changes to Wikipedia. However, some of your changes, like those to "Santa Claus", did not seem to be helpful and have been reverted or removed. If you want to try out changing Wikipedia to learn more about how it works, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please do not deliberately add tags which should not be on articles. If in doubt, ask. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to change things here, but talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion. Deleting or changing good comments, as you did at Talk:Father Christmas, should not be done, even if you meant it well. Even fixing spelling and grammar in others' comments is usually advised against, because it can irritate the users whose wrote them. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about how you can help build this encyclopedia. Thank you. DaneGeld (talk) 19:43, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
I did mean it well. I was just trying to fix it. -- 2600:8800:3981:7A80:194E:E87A:2510:F53C (talk) 20:45, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

- Please do not readd that image, as the image is a copyright violation. Therefore not eligible to be posted on Wikipeida. --Clarkcj12 (talk) 03:16, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
Copyright violation? But I stated in the image it was not my image. --2600:8800:3981:7A80:194E:E87A:2510:F53C (talk) 03:20, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
- Exactly, since you are not the copyright holder of the image, and the image is copyrighted by Biz Tech, therefore you can not use the image on Wikipedia or host it on commons. The only way the image can be used if you contact the copyright holder, and they release the image under a CC-BY-SA license. Even though you provided the source for the image, its still a copyright violation as you are using the image without the permission of the copyright holder. --Clarkcj12 (talk) 03:29, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
So is there no way I can keep the image? --2600:8800:3981:7A80:194E:E87A:2510:F53C (talk) 04:00, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
- The only to be able to restore the image, is to request the copyright holder send in an email according releasing the image under a CC-BY-SA license as according to COM:L to our COM:OTRS team. And from there we will able to provide verification that the image may be used under a CC-BY-SA license. And will update the image as such. --Clarkcj12 (talk) 04:06, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for a person who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. An IP address can be shared by many people. If you feel that things said here are not about you, you can create an account or log in to stop it happening again. |
