Your edits to Chemistry

change

Thanks for your edits. However, this is Simple English Wikipedia. We try to make things simple here for people who don't know English very well. It looks like you are making things like normal English. Just a note, --Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:11, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I'm not mean! Just trying to tell you something. You can ask a question about Wikipedia or science on my talk page and I will gladly answer. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:23, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I would like to tell you that that is the way to go. Here is something that may help:

Hello, Aquaflame28, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia!

You may want to begin by reading these pages :

For some ideas of pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

You can change any pages you want! Any changes you make can be seen immediately. You can ask questions at Wikipedia:Simple talk. At the end of your messages on talk pages, please sign your name by typing "~~~~" (four tildes)

Good luck and happy changing! P.S. If you are tired of me pestering you, just tell me right under here. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:26, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

You aren't "befuzzled"; it is normal for people to correct each other. You just had a minor problem and it is better now. Do you like to edit any particular type of article? I created some articles that you can work on if you want. They aren't my articles, so you can be bold! --Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:30, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

You just type ~~~~. This makes your signature. I will type it twice after this. Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:31, 8 November 2010 (UTC) Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:31, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Relax. You are better than 90% of the new editors. *pride* --Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:32, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

What colors? The orange bar on the top of the screen? This is how it comes:

  1. I write something on your talk page, which for you is User talk:Aquaflame28.
  2. The orange bar pops up on your screen showing that you have a new message.
  3. You write something on my talk page, which for me is User talk:Chemicalinterest.
  4. I get the orange bar on my screen showing that I have a new message.
  5. After you look at the message the orange bar disappears.

I can get an article for you to work on. See "Show any page" on the left side of the screen? It is under "New Changes". Click that and it picks a random article on this Wikipedia. You can see if there is any spelling errors or punctuation errors in them.

Look at WP:SANDBOX. You can play around there. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:38, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

That is a little harder to do. You need to go under "My settings" on the top of the screen. Then use "wikicode" to make the signature how you like. To get this (Aquaflame28TALK), put this (<font color=green>[[User:Aquaflame28|Aquaflame28]]</font><font color=red>[[User talk:Aquaflame28|TALK]]</font>) in the "New Signature" box and check the ""Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)" box. Again, this is just a pitiful example. I don't really know how to get a nice-looking signature very well as I am not very artistic. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 19:44, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I know things about chemistry. Would you like an aquacolored flame on your userpage? Here are your choices; zinc burning, copper(II) flame test, copper metal flame. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 20:16, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Would you believe me when I say that all you need to make this is:

  1. A twist tie.
  2. An "extra heavy duty" or "super heavy duty" battery.
  3. Some tweezers, tongs, or pliers.
  4. A pan of water to douse the flame.

Even though this is easy, I would not recommend that you do this. I got banned from chemistry by doing stuff like that.

A note: Some people might say that we are too chatty. I will send you more responses in an email. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 22:14, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Don't forget to check the "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)" box for your signature. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 22:40, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't know why it didn't work. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 18:19, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Did you get my email? --Chemicalinterest (talk) 18:28, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Oh! Yeah! I'm probably not giong to try it, as I am overly cautious, but it sounds like it would work! Aquaflame28 (talk) 18:30, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Its good to be safe. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 18:35, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
