Hello, Bendy5000, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you are happy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Some helpful pages to start you off are Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents and Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines.

If you want to meet and talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Just remember that you should sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

We have a special page that describes how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

We are also focusing on core articles until this Wikipedia grows. This list of topics will help show the types of topics we want most.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, do not be afraid to be bold! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later.

If you need any help, send a message to an administrator on his or her talk page. Administrators on Wikipedia will try to help you with your problems and resolve them as soon as possible.

Vandalism

The normal procedure of action during vandalism is below:

1. Revert the vandalism
2. Warn the user using the templates {{subst:test}} and then {{subst:stopvandal}}. To reduce server load, use the subst in the template name. Please follow each of these templates by four tildes (~~~~) which will add your username and the time of your edit.
3. If the vandalism continues, please list the name on the Vandalism in Progress page. Remember to follow the instructions at the top of the page to ensure that you use the correct format. Basically, bullet your edit and use the {{vandal|Username}} format along with you comment and signature.
4. If the user needs to be blocked immediately and is causing mass destruction to Simple English Wikipedia, either email an administrator by using the Email this user link on the left hand side of their user page, or use the IRC channel (here) to contact a Steward who will block them.
5. If the vandal created new articles (You will see an N next to the edit on the New Changes) then simply edit this article and add the template {{Delete|Reason}}. Using this tag will mark the article for deletion and an administrator will delete it when possible. Under normal circumstances there is no need to hold a vote.

Also, please remember to use capital letters and correct punctuation to ensure that your edits are easy to read.
