"John Logo" sockpuppetry
changeAn IP address has just created 2 pages, Category:John Logo and JSH (John Secret House), which are just nonsense, so I have tagged them for Quick Deletion. This are the first edits by this IP address, but Category:John Logo was definitely created about 1-2 days ago and got deleted. I am suspicious that sockpuppetry may be occurring here due to the similarities in this vandalism by at least two different IPs, but I do not know which IP originally carried out "John Logo"-related vandalism. I was unsure of where to ask about this so I thought I should mention this. I originally posted this at User talk:Auntof6 but as you just deleted a page I posted this here for a faster response. User talk:Auntof6 has been added to Category:John Logo and I am somehow unable to remove it. Thanks, --Rubbish computer (talk) 08:29, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- Likely it was not willful sockpuppetry, but rather that whoever was behind those edits has a dynamic IP address and it changed over those few days. The content of the pages look similar enough to tie them to the same person. Right now we will leave it as it is, seeing that the pages have been deleted and the editor has been warned already; if it continues then we can consider blocking them from editing. Chenzw Talk 09:04, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, about the category problem: compare the following:
[[Category:John Logo]] [[:Category:John Logo]]
- The first one will categorise the page itself into the category, while the second one is required if you want to show the link. I have edited the pages to fix this problem. Chenzw Talk 09:06, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. --Rubbish computer (talk) 09:13, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
