Hello, Pyromaniac666, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages, or help out with this weeks selected article, which is no longer used.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

If you would like to test Wikipedia, please use the sandbox. Please do not test Wikipedia by editing its articles.

Good luck and happy editing! --§ Snake311 (T + C) 19:04, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well obivously on the top of my userpage, it has a little wikibreak banner noting that I may be semi-inactive due to school purposes. Also that I havbe two simpsons quotes on it (i like the second one better). While I won't give you my exact age, I give you a hint: I am a teenager. later;) --§ Snake311 (T + C) 19:17, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is the Simple English Wikipedia. The other english wikipedia that uses complex english is here. --§ Snake311 (T + C) 19:26, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Here we do not use such big words like "stereotype", "maintain", "obliterate", insufficient", etc., Here is an example: extraordinary --> one-of-a-kind or unusual, oriental
--> asian, etc., --§ Snake311 (T + C) 19:32, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
All messages will be replied later from now on. --§ Snake311 (T + C) 19:33, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Yes, I understand what you are saying. Do you need help on the Chinese Wikipedia or something? Ni hao, wo neng ting dong, wo gang lai dao wo de login yin wei wo yao gen xin nei ge tai feng de xiao xi, yin wei ying yuu de wei ji bai ke shuo mo yi ge tai feng xien zai shi hurricane status le. Yes, I copied the California wildfires, but I tried my best to simplify the English. Has it been fixed yet? I see that the SimpleEnglish Wikipedia takes a long time to be updated, so I'll go update the hurricane page if it hans't been yet. Thanks. Bigwindofthestars 23:07, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I saw you speak Chinese in Pinyin on another user's talk page. Are you Chinese? I was wondering if you might know some things about Chinese music, ranging from classical (such as traditional music) to modern (such as C-pop and C-rock). If so, would you like to join my Simple WikiProject Asian Music? Even small contributions are much appreciated. Thanks! Alexhl (talk) 12:33, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
