Hello! I noticed that you may have come here from another Wikipedia, so you know a little about how things work here. I hope you like it here and decide to stay! Here are some links to help you adjust:

There's a lot to do here. Most of it is writing articles that do not exist yet, which you can do by translating from other Wikipedias, but have a look around and see what you want to do. Thanks for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need any help. Kansan (talk) 23:24, 12 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sporting Kansas City

Good catch on that. I should have noticed that because my brother is a diehard fan of that team. Kansan (talk) 02:08, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copying from English Wikipedia

change

RomeEonBmbo, Thanks for creating the 2012 Formula One season page. It appears that you used enwp as a source. There is nothing wrong in doing so. We need to credit the source, what ever it is. I added a note on the article's talk page. Please see this page for details. Cheers!--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 04:17, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the notice. RomeEonBmbo (talk) 19:09, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Formula One

change
Congratulations: You have been given a Formula One Barnstar!

Thank you for helping out with the F1 articles.

I welcome the help with Formula One. A note about the comments in the articles. I have setup a semi-automatic process for updating the race results using a spreadsheet and AWB. It will compute the current and total points for both the drivers and the teams. Then with AWB I do the article updates.

There is no problem if you want to update anything. Just take a look at any of the talk pages for notes about the comments. Some will be deleted as part of the process, some stay for future update.

Again, welcome to the unofficial F1 project on Simple Wikipedia. --The Three Headed Knight (talk) 16:26, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

One thing I forgot. I use the hidden category Formula One current to help in the process. All current drivers and teams, plus some statistics type pages, are in the category. It helps for building the edit list for AWB.--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 02:47, 25 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

20th race for F1

change

RomeEonBmbo (is it ok to call you Rome?), I know that right now, there are only 19 races schedule. But there is a good chance Bahrain will be added back in. Besides, it would be a massive amount of work to remove the 20th column from all the teams and drivers. Even if it does not make it this year, we will need it for next year. Cheers--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 04:12, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

2011 Formula One season updates

change

Rome, I appreciate you help with updating the F1 articles, but I had to undo your updates. Our format is a little different from enwp's format. Since we are unlikely to create articles for each race (i.e. [[2011 Chinese Grand Prix]]), I just list the main grand prix page for each race. I also have added a number of in-line comments in most of the F1 articles. This helps me semi-automate the update process. The mass cut-n-paste from enwp deleted those comments.

I normally include a note of the talk page explaning the reason for the comments. I had forgotten to add the note on Talk:2011 Formula One season, but it is there now. Again, thanks for you help.--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 13:58, 18 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know. So do you usually do the updates for the F1 standings on the current season page? RomeEonBmbo 21:24, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

I usually update all the F1 pages, current season, teams, drivers, Grands Prix, lists of results, etc. It often takes me a couple of days to get the updates done. You are welcome to update any page you with. All I ask is to leave the comments for future updates in place. I have put a note on the talk page of every (I hope) article I update. It explaines what comments to leave and which ones to delete. See Talk:2011 Formula One season for an example. If the instructions are not clear, please let me know so I can improve them. Cheers.--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 01:42, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blackout

change

Does the blackout affect Simple Wikipedia? RomeEonBmbo 21:47, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Apparently not. Thanks anyways.
