Asking for help on How to write ...

change

Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia. If you'll click the welcome link to the left it will give you a series of links to helpful pages. One of the first to read is the Wikipedia:Student tutorial. It's geared for anyone of any age who wants to edit for this Wikipedia. The page Help:How to change pages will get you started either editing existing pages or in creating a new page. Wikipedia has some guidelines to help you edit pages. The Help:Contents page has many helpful links that show you how to do key things as an editor. Perhaps then the Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages will make more sense. If you are thinking of copying and pasting articles from the English Wikipedia, you can do that but they need to be simplified first. Read Wikipedia:How to copy from another Wikipedia. Articles there and at other Wikipedias are usually too complex for this wiki.

Any explanation by most editors are going to center on these same topics so read these first, then see what questions you have. You can ask here or you can post questions on the Wikipedia:Simple talk page. Don't worry, if you make mistakes other editors will correct them. This is how most editors here get started and we hope you'll enjoy editing at Simple English Wikipedia. User:Rus793 (talk) 15:30, 18 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
