Viviane Adélaïde Reding (born 27 April 1951) is a Luxembourgish politician. She was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Luxembourg. She is a member of the Christian Social People's Party.

She was European Commissioner for Education and Culture from 1999 to 2004, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media from 2004 to 2010 and European Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship from 2010 to 2014.
On 27 November 2009, she was elevated in the "Barroso II Commission" to Vice-President responsible for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship.[1][2]
