Władysław Ziółek
Polish archbishop
Władysław Ziółek (born 22 June 1935)[1] is a Polish Roman Catholic priest who served as the Archbishop of Łódź from 1986 to 2012. He is currently the Archbishop Emeritus of Łódź.

Early life and education
changeWładysław Ziółek was born in Komorniki, Poland.[2] He was ordained a priest on 13 July 1958 by Bishop Józef Gawlina.[3]
Ecclesiastical career
changeHe was appointed an auxiliary bishop of Łódź in 1980 and consecrated by Bishop Józef Rozwadowski. In 1986, he was named the Archbishop of Łódź, a position he held until his retirement in 2012. He was succeeded by Marek Jędraszewski.[2]
